In May, the average purchase price of raw milk in Estonia was 438.82 euros per tonne, 40.3% higher than in the same month last year.

 
The data provided by Statistics Estonia show that the volume of milk purchased in the month was 67,300 tons, which is 3.2% less than in the same month last year. Among them, boutique milk accounted for 54,700 tons, which is 0.9% higher than in the same period last year. The average fat content and average protein content of milk were 3.9% and 3.4%, respectively.
 
In May, milk production was 9,400 tons, up 3.3% year-on-year. Cream production was 2,400 tons, down 11.1% year-over-year. Yogurt production was 3,500 tons, a decrease of 14.6% year-on-year. Butter production was 400 tons, an increase of 100 tons year-on-year. Cheese products production was 4,100 tons, the same as the same period last year, of which curd accounted for 1,600 tons.
