Russia is leading among chocolate suppliers in the Chinese and Saudi Arabian markets, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture said at the end of the meeting, where prospects for export of confectionery products were discussed.
 
China and Saudi Arabia are the most promising areas for supply," the release said. Now Russia is in first place among chocolate suppliers to these countries."
 
Last year Russian confectionery products were supplied to 95 countries. At the same time 70% of the volume was shipped to the traditional markets of the CIS countries, 9% to China and 5% to the Middle East countries. The volume of exports has increased by 56% in the last four years.
 
The positive growth of exports was maintained at the beginning of 2022. The circular says: "At the same time, as noted at the meeting, Russia has a high productivity without the participation of foreign funds, which guarantees the stability of the sector in the existing situation."
