According to the Phnom Penh Post, TKY Farm, a company that grows and exports durian from the Golden Pillow in Preah Vihear province of Cambodia, has shipped more than 120 tons of durian to the Chinese market through Thailand.

 
According to the report, the export was done by TKY Farm in cooperation with a Chinese company and the price of durian is similar to that of Kampot and Kampong Cham durian, with the plan to expand the export volume to 500 tons by 2023.
 
TKY Farm is one of the largest durian producers in Preah Vihear province. CEO Yi Sinath said the company has been growing durian for eight years and has invested in more than 200 hectares of durian in Preah Vihear province, with a total of 16,000 trees. Durian production at the plantation has been steadily increasing every year, with 4,000 trees ready to be harvested this year, producing more than 300 tons, and another 2,000 trees expected to start bearing fruit next year.
 
Currently, only bananas and mangoes have been granted access to Chinese customs in Cambodia. Longan is in the final stage of the access process and the first batch of Pailin longan is expected to be exported to China in September this year. Export negotiations to China are hampered by the limited supply of Cambodian fruit, and Cambodian durian is not yet in the negotiation stage of phytosanitary requirements.
