In 2021, Russian beef exports to China increased by 169%, reaching 18,000 tons; from Nov. 1 to 21, beef exports to China reached 1,500 tons, more than double the year-on-year increase. The Chinese market wasn’t open to Russian beef until 2020, and exports in 2021 reach US$122 million.

Until Nov. 28, Russia's exports of agricultural and industrial products to China reached US$3.169 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11%. China ranks third in the ranking of Russian agricultural product importers. In 2021, China's most imported product from Russia was fish, which reached US$966 million; followed by oil products at US$83 million; meat and milk products at US$359 million; edible and processed products at US$208 million; and cereal products at US$114 million.
